Roundbrand Results! 2/15/09 @ Terrace Creek
Terrace Creek in Mountlake Terrace was the site of our round Sunday. It is our third time playing there over 16 months and it has been different each time. The back 9 has been radically changed and I liked it much better than before. It still has some issues compared to other courses, but I will be more inclined to go back after seeing what they have done and are planning on doing there.
We had a decent showing of seven of us, but Plympton’s back did not allow him to play beyond the front 9. We also had a first time player in Kermit. All told it was a nice day to be out as it was cold but not bitter and the rain stayed away until we finished.
Scores are below the fold.

Take a look above and you will see a link for the Top 10. We have to decided to track and document the best scores for the Roundbrand crew at the many courses we play at regularly. I’ll bet you will see your name up there a few times. Enjoy!

Disc Golf Round 2/15/09 @ Terrace Creek
Howdy Disc Golfers. This Sunday we offer an opportunity to work off some of your Valentine’s candy and other assorted gluttonous behaviors. There will be hills to climb up and down and many chances to avoid slipping and falling. Tee time is 1PM at Terrace Creek up in Mountlake Terrace.
This is not a favorite course for the Roundbrand folks, but I figure it will never be as bare as it is now so let’s give it a whirl. Also, some changes to the course may have made it better since we last visited. Dress for wet as it looks like some possible rain that day. See you all there!

We had the usual suspects out for a cool round of Disc Golf on Sunday at Lakewood. Dean was a champ for dragging himself out to play even though he was not feeling too well. Overall it was a fairly well played round even though it may have lacked a bit on the spectacular side.
Jonathan had a couple of amazing tee shots. His drive on Hole 2 dropped just down the hill a bit from the basket setting them up for birdie. He also drove almost to the pine tree on Hole 14. Sadly, his longest drive of the day may have been on Hole 15 as he threw his Tee-Rex into the middle of the muck pond. Or it may have been Hole 5 when he threw his disc almost all the way to the long basket.
Mikayla and I managed to take the day by being very steady with our shots. My second shots seemed to return to my arsenal after disappearing last week. We had decent success putting too which may have been the difference in this game at the end.
Scores are below the fold.
Roundbrand Rankings 2/9/09
Nothing major to report in the Rankings since turnouts have been small lately.
On another note, I think next week we will be starting up our Wednesday night games again. It appears to be getting a tad warmer these days and the days are getting longer too which means we may be able to ditch the LED discs sometime next month.
On the topic of the LED discs. Mine were starting to run low on battery power so I opened them up planning to put new ones in. What I found was that there are two batteries in each disc, but it only runs on one. So I just took out the dead ones and voila! So, if yours are running low you already have a backup battery sitting inside of the disc. Thought you might like to hear that.
Here are the Rankings!
