Disc Golf Courses and Parks RoundBrand has been proud to play
Lakewood Park – Disc Golf ParkLakewood is by far one of our favorite courses. It is very well groomed offering wide open shots combined with some very technical shots. The course targets change from time to time so be prepared to be shooting toward an alternate target location.
North SEA-TAC - Disc Golf Park This park is crazy! What used to be a residential area was converted into a very large park. Every time you t-up you are in for a challenge. At times you may find yourself t-ing off of what used to be a back porch or taking a fairway shot from and old staircase. With only a handful of straight and clear shots you will need to be just as lucky as you are good to take home a favorable score. Keep an eye on your disc while it’s in flight and be prepared to face the worse as you may lose a disc or two. I think several in our group have lost discs to the thick growth edging the course.
Game Farm Park AKA: White River – Disc Golf Park Game Farm Park is a beautiful park nestled next to the White River. There are a few baskets that rest just feet away from the rushing water so be exact or play safe on #14 and #16. If you have a strong throw you are going to love the straight 420 foot drive on #17. On #18 you are shooting through trees unless you have a ridiculous left hooking long shot. If you can schedule a sunny day game you might even consider bringing lunch and just taking in the views.
Terrace Creek Park – Disc Golf Park Up for a challenging course? Terrace Creek is just the place for you. You won’t leave this course missing your exercise for the day. The main complaint I have about this course is the poorly maintained condition. For what seemed to be a very busy Folf park I was shocked that it wasn’t in better shape. I’ll say this; after playing the course and learning it’s quirks I think it could grow on me. I would think this course would be a great spring and summer course… we’ll have to see
Steilacom Park - Disc Golf Park
Mineral Springs Park – Disc Golf ParkAfter playing disc golf courses like Lakewood Park, Mineral Springs just doesn’t really make a Folfer jump for joy. I am looking forward to playing this course once it warms up a bit and is dry. With the deep woods and technical shots the one thing this course will do for your game is improve your patience.
Lake Fenwick – Disc Golf Park Lake Fenwick is more than a little challenging, especially for us newbies. I think once I have my hyzer down I’ll give it a better run. I simply feel like this course is made for lefties throwing sidearm or righty forearm throwers. This course will prove to be extra challenging once the spring leaves are in. If you think the course is ruff now just wait. It will be like a 90 year old woman trying to thread a No.10 needle with black thread in a dark room. Good luck! Don’t use your camo disc unless you really wanted to lose it.
