The Shirts are in and they look great. Support the RoundBrand by donning your Disc logo T when you hit the street or course. I ordered a few extras in the XL size for those of you who I never heard from. Call Jonathan or reply to this message to let me know when you will be able to grab your T’s.

Your Avatar – No Not The Movie
Some of you RoundBranders have asked how to get that litte image next to your name on comments. Well here is the quick and dirty.
- Got to http://en.gravatar.com/ and sign-up for an account
- Upload the image you want to use.
- Use the email address associated to your Gravatar when making a comment and registering with RoundBrand.
- Voila – you now have you very own avatar that will follow you no matter if it is posting on RoundBrand or posting somewhere else that has the Gravatar plug-in enabled.
Now what image to choose? I am happy to help with that too. Here are 4 avatars from RoundBrand.
RoundBrand T’s – Vote
I thought it might be nice to see how many of you RoundBranders would be interested in a tee shirt. I have included an image with three different designs. The colors of the shirts can vary but I want to settle on one design. With that said, cast your vote for the shirt design you like best.

Happy April Fool’s Day
Why in the heck do we wish people a Happy Fool’s Day? Oh, it’s just me… okay then.
I was looking at the forecast for the upcoming weekend and realized I will not be in town to tee it up with you all over the weekend. So, what I would like to propose is a midweek round. Please let me know if any of you will have time after 5PM Thursday or Friday to tee up at Lakewood or even White River. Give me some feedback. Talk to you all soon!
Game Canceled – March 30th – Game Canceled
Due to weather conditions I am going to cancel tomorrows game. It is looking rather cold and in some cases snowy.
What was to be a canceled game, actually, turned out to be a well played round. Not one team shot over 67! I am sure Jeff will have us a recap very soon. Thanks to those of you who made it out and soaked up some sunshine with us.
Disc Golf at Lakewood Park : March 30th 2008 : 13:00 hours
Jeff decided to take a break from scheduling duties so I (Jonathan) am filling in. I thought it would be nice to get out on what should be a nice Sunday and play Lakewood Park. Let’s plan on meeting at the first hole at 1 PM for tee-off. I am looking forward to a post birthday game and kick ya’lls butts. Let’s see if my vintage age makes me a better player
or as bitter as vinegar (when I am stomped). Have a great week… see you soon.
Seattle Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee – March 24, 2008
Sitting and listening to the Seattle Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee discuss and sometimes strongly disagree over how the nearly 5 million (4.9) dollars should be spent can be frustrating. Last night at the Seattle Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting at the Denny Park building I sat and observed first hand just how the current Mayor of Seattle can set a tailspin in motion even with the best of intentions. Not to say that the Mayor is directly responsible for the sideways in a snowstorm maneuver the committee is undertaking but to say that his inability to get directly involved is bewildering.
Parks are one of the essential public planning projects that pull community together, build a future for our children and enhance the world we live in. With the rate of green space depleting and the density of Seattle population growing these green spaces/parks are needed to ensure a healthy balanced metropolitan environment. I have called for my fellow disc golfers to assist me in attending these meetings, if for no other reason than showing the City of Seattle that we care.
For now, it appears that the Seattle Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee will be drafting a letter to Mayor Greg Nickels. The hope is that the Mayor will get involved and make a hard line stance, from his office and not delegated, on what the criteria will be for the division of funds from the Levy.
If you are a community group and or you just want to get involved please join me at the up coming Seattle Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee meeting on April 28th, 2008 at the 100 Dexter Denny Parks Building.
Until then – play disc golf
Disc Golf Parks – reviews and links
Today I updated the parks and added Lake Fenwick. I would really like to get some feed back on this page. I am open to outside writers… any takers??
Sandwich Heaven Comes to 1st Ave
Yeah, I know, this has nothing to do with disc golf. But if you are a sandwich lover and you happen to be in the Pioneer Square area looking for a good… scratch that… a GREAAAT sandwich then you need to stop into the newest Jimmy John’s location on 1st ave. Between Yesler Way and S. Washington next to the Starbucks on Yesler Way and 1st. I guess in a way this could be disc golf related. If you are going to be hosting an event and need sandwiches for the event then Jimmy John’s is the place to go.
