Scheduling Feedback Wanted

I would like some feedback from all of you regarding our mid-week games. We have been getting good attendance at them on Wednesdays for quite a while now but I am not sure if that is because Wednesday works really well for people or if it is because you all just enjoy playing no matter the when.

The reason I bring it up is because as you all know I have a little one due to arrive in July and we have started attending birthing classes.  Initially I thought they would fall on Thursday night but after attending our first class yesterday I stand corrected.  The plan is actually to rotate the class between Thursday and Wednesday every other week.  So my question to all of you is would you like to keep the games on Wednesday?  If so, is one of you willing to be the host when I am unable to attend?  Let me know what works best for all of you so we can keep the momentum going here with the Roundbrand crew.

Change in Plans – No Weekend Game

Hey folks. The weather looks crummy all weekend and I am fighting some massive chest congestion so I am not going to schedule a game for this weekend. If the weather makes a turn for the better we may make a last minute change, but for now let’s plan on next week for our next game.

Also, we have officially finished the first half of our Bag Tag Challenge and entry is closed.

Looking at a standard week of games coming up.  We will do Wednesday at 5pm again at Lakewood.  Also shooting for a 10am game Saturday at Sea-Tac.  All players welcome at both games, but expect there to be challenges going on also.

Only nine days left to sign up for the Bag Tag Challenge.  Let me know if you want to join in the fun.

Game Wednesday in the Sun

Daylight savings is here which means we put away our glow discs for a while.  Tomorrow at 5pm we will play Lakewood.  My plan is to rotate between Lakewood and SeaTac for our midweek games for the next little while.

As for the weekend, I have nothing in stone yet as Saturday night is Jonathan’s 40th Birthday bash.  I do know Vince will be taking a challenge from Plympton at SeaTac at some point this weekend for his #2 Tag and he seems willing to make it a group challenge.  I will let you know if we make a decision.

Lastly, if you have not done it already please sign up for the text notices at the right hand side of the home page.  As we get closer to the arrival of my baby, other people will be hosting the games for Roundbrand and I will use that more to notify you all.

Weekly Schedule

So I was planning on bailing on a mid-week game this week due to the crappy weather, but I have changed my mind.  Turns out Wednesday is Matt’s Birthday so we are actually doing two games that day.  At 4 pm at Lakewood we will be doing a challenge.  As of now it is just me challenging Matt, but if any other bag taggers want to join in we can make it a group challenge.  Then at 7:30pm we will do our final night game of the season with light up discs.  Also playing that round at Lakewood and meet up at Hole 14 for the start.

As for the weekend I am planning an early game on Saturday at Sea-Tac.  Tee time will be 10am.

Bag Tag Update & Schedule

So we are one month into the Bag Tag and all is going well. We currently have eight players with two more people that I expect to buy in before the deadline at the end of this month.  Current standings are:

  8. Vince

As for schedule this week we will most likely do Wednesday night at SeaTac.  Not sure where or when for Saturday yet, so if anyone has any preferences let me know.

Back at it and a quick look ahead

I am back in town and I am thinking at this point we will try to play a game Saturday down at White River in Auburn. When we nail down a time I will utilize our new text message system to get the info out to you all.

Also, just as a heads up, I was looking at one of my favorite websites here and after March 14th we start getting sunset times after 7pm.  At that point I think I am going to do away with the mid-week night games in the dark and switch to some earlier start times so we can actually play in daylight and use our regular discs.  Keep an eye out for that.

Lastly, no major news on the Bag Tag Challenge other than Matt and Eric going at it three times last week.  Just one reminder though to help me with record keeping.  Please report scores with your Handicap included.  May seem minor, but when we recalculate Handicaps I need to know that all correctly.  As of now I don’t think people have been doing that which is making our data a little unstable.
