What a great group of people Jeff and I met at the Acepot at Lakewood last weekend (Feb 17th). The pressure was on as we played with some very seasoned players (Brian, Justin & Kye). A special thanks to those guys for not giving us too much grief
They were truly impressive to watch. Eric, AKA Edge, hosted and organized the Acepot event at Lakewood. You can read more about the event on Eric’s blog if you are interested. We will try to keep the viewers of this blog informed of upcoming events such as the Acepot and by all means if you know of an event you think we should be posting please let us know.
Here are the AM rankings for the day. Yes that is Jeff and I at the bottom
Am results for the Feb. Lakewood Acepot:
Brian H. 86

I too cannot say enough about how great those guys were. I had met Brian before as I have salivated over the many discs he has for sale, but that was the first time I had met Justin or Kye. They were helpful the whole way for a couple of newbs like us and as Jonathan said, they would have been totally justified had they poked some fun at our games.
I learned so much just watching them play. It is very true in anything that you must watch those who are successful to learn how to be. I thank them for the lesson and a very enjoyable time. I do know that next time I will make sure I have more gas in the tank.
On another note, those of you who know me know that I am a big believer in buying locally. What does this have to do with Disc Golf? Brian has a fantastic selection of discs at very fair prices. If you are in the market for discs I suggest calling him or going to Mando’s in Auburn. I have Brian’s card, so if you want his contact info just let me know.
