On December 21st 2007, the PDGA Board approved the proposed updates to the technical standards which had been submitted by the Technical Standards Committee back on December 15th 2007.
What does this mean for disc golf players?
Quite honestly not much. Unless you’re a pro then the new rules simply don’t affect the amateur game. However if you have any interest in the pursuit of a professional placement then you may find the new technical standards an important read. There are also new rules that apply more specifically to manufacturers looking to get such items as targets and discs approved by the PDGA.
