A few months ago I posted a brief blog, attempting to raise local awareness about Seattle’s intentions regarding several orphaned parks and green areas in the greater Seattle area. As a Seattleite, and avid disc golfer, I saw fit to bring you all up-to-date.
The Pro Parks Levy Oversight Committee was to meet this past Tuesday at the 100 Dexter Parks & Recreation building to discuss, amongst other things, how nearly 200 million dollars would be spent to better some of Seattle’s currently unsung green areas. This meeting was canceled due to poor weather conditions, but has been rescheduled (2/25/2008, 7PM).
My goal is to get as many of you, disc golfing supporters, rallied in order to gain recognition as a body of citizens in the quest of new pertinent and flexible spaces, that would include disc golf accommodations. As much as I do appreciate the parks we disc golfers currently navigate, wouldn’t it be great to have a few new courses, while expanding the knowledge of the sport to those who may be missing out?
Show some support for your city and meet me at the next meeting of The Oversight Committee on Monday, February 25, 7:00 pm at 100 Dexter Ave N, Seattle. I myself hope to see you there.

Don’t forget to be there. We need everyones support on this one.
