Hello Folfers. We will be playing our next round at my home course, the lovely North SeaTac Disc Golf Course. For you newbies that have never been, the map linked actually has the star in the correct spot. There is a small parking lot right next to the first tee. If it is full you can park on the street. It is supposed to be wet on Sunday, so bring warm and dry attire. Tee off is set for 1PM.
On Monday we took the day off to celebrate our anniversary. Kara was kind enough to let me selfishly schedule the first part of the day. We had a late breakfast at Easy Street with Ethan and Nani and then jumped on the ferry to Vashon. I made a quick stop to visit with a designer that I have done a bunch of quotes for and then we headed to the Vashon Island Disc Golf course. Let me just say that any online source telling you there is a course on that island is lying. Of the nine advertised holes I only found #’s 4,6,7,8 & 9. The course had been completely taken over by some sort of weed. Half of the holes we found were surrounded by bushes. Needless to say there was no Folfing to be had. Thankfully it was a great day for a ferry ride and a drive around Vashon.
Come celebrate Kara staying with me for another calendar year! We will be playing an early round of Folf this Sunday at Lakewood. Tee off is scheduled for 10:30AM. So far they say cold and clear, so dress warm and wear good shoes for all of the up and down hills that Lakewood provides. Just in case you are a newcomer to Lakewood, do not drive to the star on the map linked above. You will need to turn into the drive just a block east of 8th.
